Glassblowing by Nancy Callan
Watch as Nancy Callan explores the playfulness and visual complexity of glass. Says Nancy, “While creating each piece, I try to balance the fluidity of hot glass with the sense of wonder and fun I felt the first time I gathered from the furnace.”
Live Music by Mary Lorson and the Soubrettes, and by Bronwen Exter
It’s a night to celebrate talented female vocalists. New York Music Daily describes Mary Lorson and the Soubrettes as an “unassumingly charming, deceptively upbeat, pensively lyrical blend of oldtime-flavored Americana, sultry torch songs and jaunty purist pop.” During the second half of the evening, Bronwen Exter will treat us to her “warm, all-enveloping voice” (The New Yorker). Exter fronts a band that ranges “from the spare to the bombastic, the whimsical to the funereal.”
