As another busy season winds
down Burney and I are reaching out to thank all of you for your support of Los
Gatos Bed & Breakfast through the years. This year we celebrated 10 years
in business, and we feel extremely fortunate to have met many wonderful
people over these years. The B&B has been and continues to be a work
in progress as we have worked to improve our guests' Finger Lakes experience.
Each year we tackle a
project or two, and this year our first project was to remove the pool and
rebuild the deck. We now have lots of tables and rockers, and a fire pit to
relax around. The other big project for the year was to "go solar"! We
now have 86 solar panels that are providing ALL the electrical needs of the Bed
& Breakfast! We have always strived to be more self-sustaining, and our
solar system fits with our “fresh and
local†outlook on life. With this new solar installation we
offer even more of a “farm to tableâ€
experience for our guests - we grow many of our own fruits and vegetables, our
hens give us fresh eggs each morning and now we are providing our own
electricity as well!
Just in time for the
holidays we are preparing a package that we will be offering on a national
social buying network later in November. We have run a similar package for the
past few winters, and the response has been wonderful. This year we have
added even more features and value, and lengthened the time frame for
availability. To make sure that all our friends can have their
